Three New Felted Flowers

Today I was able to steal away enough time to make three new flowers.  Two will be available for purchase at my shop http://www.woodstreamdream.etsy.com/ and the third is a gift for one of my son's teachers.  As I stated in an earlier post, all new felted flowers for sale online will have the purchaser option of choosing a hair clip or a hinge pin to be attached to the back of the felted flower at the time of purchase.

New items!!!

I've completed the thank you note to coordiate with the train invitation for my son's birthday this month.  I think it's adorable.

Below is Marie Collection No. 22, a felted pink cashmere flower pin with vintage white button.  It's a petite pin for my husband's aunt.  She asked for a pin for Christmas, but I think she'll be receiving it for her birthday in August.

The hat below will be added to my shop http://www.woodstreamdream.etsy.com/ today for purchase.  I made it from pale blue organic cotton yarn with a brim to keep the sun out of your little one's eyes.  It features three double flowers in pale blue and pale green organic cotton.

I purchased hair clips over the weekend that I plan to attach my flowers to - giving the option for the purchaser.  Look for this option with new flowers that I create and post at my shop.

A few new projects

Today I created the birthday invitation for my son's birthday.  He's crazy about trains, as you can see!  I'll be designing a thank you note to coordinate.

Cute as a Button Birthday Card

I am finishing up on a sunhat for a toddler girl, adding a couple more flowers.  Photographing should be done by the end of the weekend and I'll be posting pics.  It's called Blue Skies Sun Hat and it's made from organice pale blue cotton with organic pale green cotton accent flowers - same green as in my Irish Eyes baby cloche.  I'm measuring the interior circumfrence for sizing, but I believe it will fit a 12-24 month toddler girl.

This week I started crocheting a unisex crib blanket using triple strands (one white, one pale yellow, and one baby green).  It's in super soft acrylic yarn and will be available online for purchase sometime this summer.

I have plans for an acrylic baby girl's crib blanket in double strands (one pink and one purple).  I'm in the planning stages for another toddler girl sun hat (in yellow cotton) and an adult woman cloche and either scarf or cowl I'm naming Dreaming of Sugar Plums (in superwash merino wool).

Busy, busy...

Life has been very busy.  I've created three more pins for a custom order.

I've finished another crochet washcloth, it's available at my shop http://www.woodstreamdream.etsy.com/.  I'm currently working on two crochet hats - one chocolate merino wool and one yellow cotton, both will be toddler sized.  I'll post pictures when they're complete.  They'll be added to my shop at that time, too.  I'm also working on a pink cashmere flower pin that will be added to my shop in a couple of days.  It's cut out, but not yet stitched.

I've found that I do my best work when it's dreary outside and I've too much housework to do... I escape and create beautiful things!

Custom Creation

I just finished the first of six custom pins that were ordered recently.  Here's the first pin:

Last night I finished the Irish Eyes Flower Cloche in Pale Green Organic Cotton (2-3T).  I listed on the http://www.woodstreamdream.etsy.com/.  I had such a good time making it and experimenting with flower patterns.  Eventually I ended up making up my own flower patterns because nothing was turing out the way that the pictures online looked.  I think the three flowers look lovely and will be adorable on any 2 to 3 year old little girl - Irish or not!

Etsy Treasury News and May Workshop

I've updated my shop and put my Easter and Mother's Day stock on sale for 20% off.  The Valentine's Day stock is on clearance for 25% off.

I plan to add the two new pins, No.016 and No.017 to the shop by the end of the week as well as the favor bags and charcoal cap.

I'm working on a pale green organic cotton cloche.  It's coming along beautifully and I'll add that to the shop upon completion.
